James was really in no position to burst into the room and save Jack. He's still in that no man's land of adolescence. The recriminations would be harsh, indeed. You're doing an excellent job of keeping us inside Jamie's head. I can feel how sickened he is by what's going on in the cabin. I wonder if his relationship with Jack can ever be the same now. *applauds*
Thank you kindly for this; it's a consolation to know that James wasn't just snubbing me in Econ class. To think about it, it really would have been strange and out-of-character for him to fly in heroically.
Thanks so very much for your feedback; glad you approve!
O joy, O rapture unforeseen, it's fabulous to have you along. (So fabulous, in fact, that you have me quoting Gilbert+Sullivan.) There's always more, and knowing that I've got another person on board and following along makes me want to get I-20 written in all the more of a timely fashion (you'll excuse my strange grammar; it's quarter to eight in the morning and I've only drunk a third of my coffee).
At any rate, welcome to my little corner of the 'verse!
(p.s. - You read this far in an hour? Straight? I'm flattered ^.^)
PtT 19!! *jumpglomp* So glad to see it up! And it was amazing as usual! Especially liked the descriptive as poor Jamie sat in a paralyzed shock/panic...wonder what he'll say to Jack next time they talk?
So, what sort of bribery offerings would you like to get you through the next part? Rum? Cookies? Spice cake? Brandied plum pudding? ^_^ I give it all!
Just an extra question (who's answer reflects one state of mind...^^)
Which meaning were you thinking of when you used "changer d'avis" as the link? Just curious.
(psst...I think the computer is trying to jinx me...2 days after you mentioned having the flu...now I have one! o_O Evil devious ways of the computer! *glares at the innocently humming system*)
change one's ways change one's heart change one's point of view or change one's mind (as my French teacher said: context is everything and really true in this case ^^; )

But in this case I learned/meant it as 'change one's mind'.
