Thank you, incidentally, for The Far Traveler. (I'd meant to thank you in person on Monday. So sorry, I'm not not where my manners wandered off to.) I enjoyed it immensely. Funnily enough, I'd recently reread the Iceland chapter in Collapse.
May I recommend the Viking ship museum in Copenhagen (as well as Copenhagen in general). [grin]
I'm glad you liked it -- thank you for the field guide! I thought that you would likely have enjoyed it as much as I did, it was a well told tale. [grin]
Hooray for Copenhagen; I'll definitely check that out if I'm ever in the area.
I agree. Do we know a publishing date for the next one?
Off-topic, I just started reading Methland and am riveted to it. I have some quibbles with his timeline (based on my coverage of methamphetamine in the late 1980s and early 1990s) but overall he does a great job of pulling together the links between the emergence of meth cooking in the flyover zone and the collapse of the rural economy. He also hits on the issues of class. I'd highly recommend it.
There's a short story collection called Side Jobs coming out in the fall that's supposed to have a novella or short story set 15mins after the end of Changes. Also, it seems like his other series is done, so maybe we'll get two books a year now?
Oh yeah, I've been making my way through Dresden this past month ... and got side-tracked with Butcher's Codex Alera series. Finished all six books in the past two weeks. I find it funny when I read some of the critics comments about how awesome his magic system is. The martial arts was pretty well done, easy to visualize.

I concur. I spent my entire holiday Monday polishing it off. Not happy about the cliffhanging, though.
