I'm still trying to make sense of this place. From the information I've gathered, there are no known natives, excluding the "scientists/sneaky group" and the enigmatic John Summers. Everyone else was brought here from different places and times without warning and without consent, and with little to no instruction as to what we should do when we ( Read more... )

...You aren't as foolishly stupid as you look.

Do I really look that stupid?

It's not the spikes, is it? I like my spikes.

It's the fact that you're you.

...Nevertheless, I shall divulge some of my information to you.

I believe a few people have attempted to go past the city. Until recently, this has been hampered by the monsters that live in the forest nearby, particularly the Dementors and Reavers. However, I have not seen any Reavers for quite some time, and the Dementors appear to be dispersing as well...

Prydain and a group of followers set out across the lake. They found a dead seagull - perhaps there is more alive here than we first suspected.

...Hm.

So there are less, er, monsters out there now? Has anyone spoken about trying again?

Perhaps there is, but the seagull was dead. How did it die?

Your synopsis is pretty much the whole of it.

As for the rest, I've been thinking about that lately myself.

It's good to know that I'm not too far off, then.

Maybe some of us need to do something about it, then. Answers don't come to those who don't ask questions.

We've been wondering about that forest from the very beginning, but unfortunately we lack the supplies and manpower to go more than a few feet in.

Care to enlighten me on the great trek into the forest, then?

Nothing enlightening the first time.

With the reavers and dementors gone, and more people joining, we can go out further this time around. And also cover more ground in different area's.

There is the problem that the scientists don't want to be found. I can't imagine that no one has tried to get to them before... but there have only been a few instances which we as citizens have been in contact with them, all on their initiative.

But I can't help but think that if someone did try to find them, they'd only take it as an offense.

I'm sure people have attempted to find them before, but it doesn't look like anything has come of it, unless I missed something. How can there be so many of us, yet we can't find a small group of people? The only explanation I can think of is that they are either hiding somewhere outside the city, or there are people here- people like us- working with the scientists to keep them hidden.

Have they been offended before? Is there a consequence for it? They seem fairly lenient, from what I've seen. The worst consequence appears to be getting sent home, and it seems like the better part of the population wants to go home.
