I love you.

1-) Your Five is, and always will be, awesome.
2-) The description of death is just perfect.
3-) Jack's voice is just right.

I just. You managed to make this painful and realistic and painful again but it doesn't slid into wangst. it's just good. Thank you for this.

Firstly - last line has been edited, because I stupidly posted the painfully tacky original and somehow four people managed to comment before I could edit it. Anyway, done now, and the final line no longer makes me cringe in actual, physical pain.

Moving on.

Good to hear this isn't wangsty because... well,it came close. Better now the last line is fixed, but still. Very, very glad you like it, as always, because your Five/Jack is Best In Show and if it works for you, then yay!

Oh, I like the edit.

And no, not wangsty at all - just very believable pain and well away from wangst. It's lovely and Nuh UH, your Five/Jack is better. Actually, they're both damned good.

Oh. Oh. This is lovely and painful and right. I love the way you've described death, and the difference between the death and the funeral. I love the understanding Jack comes to, and the Doctor's simple acceptance of Jack's forgiveness because he knows he'll know why one day.

(Because you commented before I could edit, just want to point out the last line has changed slightly but significantly.)

Very glad you liked this (still slightly wibbly after your Yana art, incidentally, so your approval means a lot!), and thank you very much for commenting!

Oh, you don't know how happy you just made me. Seriously, fantastic compliment, especially coming from the person fandom_me says she wants to write like when she grows up. :)

Actually blushing now, because there's no way I deserve that!

Oh, awesome! I knew you'd take it somewhere completely different from anything I could come up with. Fantastic - you write such a great Jack!

Thank you! And sorry it took so long to come up with anything for you. I got the shape of this a long time ago, back when you first asked for it, but I think my brain was waiting for me to stumble over the 100 fic thing.

Anyways. Glad you liked it!

No problem whatsoever! Some things are worth waiting for. :-)

*sniffles* Why? Why did you have to write it? It's good, but...*sniffles* Wah! *runs off sobbing* *runs back and points accusing finger* You made me CRY! *runs off again*

just read this twice. therefore - it is very good. i usually only read my own fics that often ;) seriously though, this is beautiful, which is thrown around a lot in fandom, but here i mean it more than i usually do. jack forgiving the doctor and the doctor not asking why are brilliant. this is so much better than their meeting in utopia, even though there is no window porn. dialogue is particularly perfect. i should really go and watch some old doctor who... i say this too often and i still haven't, but i will soon, if you keep writing this pairing. much better than ten/jack.

Yes, you should definitely watch some Five. I've got several of his stories on DVD, and I can post them to you if you want. He's deceptivelyadorable!Doctor. I always want to hug him, but suspect he wouldn't appreciate it much.

And yay for reading it twice! *Does a short victory dance* and I don't think it's difficult to out-do their Utopia meeting, really
('Doctor'
'Captain'
'Rose?'
'Not dead!')
but I'm glad you approve. Even though I could find no room in this fic for window porn. And believe me, I tried.

*grins* you've still got 99 others to go. there's room for window porn yet.

just reread my own comment which comes across a bit "omgyoursogood" hurried, but meh. it's true and it'll do.

dvds would be great :) at some point i will burn you casanova (because i don't have it on dvd... shh) as well, because it's definitely worth watching.

also - i'm fake online at the moment, as you can probably see, but i'll be going soon, i promise, that's why i'm not online. i've got over my "appear offline" stalking... sort of anyway.

this isn't anything to do with your fic any moe, so i'll just be off now. but tis excellent. and i'm sure it'll be better once i've seen more than one peter davidson episode (though i do like the 5 doctors enormously).
