Last night I fell asleep around 10 pm, which is obnoxiously early for me. I woke up around 11, brushed my teeth, and went back to bed, only to wake up at 2 am with an incredibly stuffy nose and a very painful, scratchy throat. I've been feeling quite miserable since then. So are you only going to drive out for one day, then? I might be able to get you a free room with Michele, but she does have a roommate so it would be up to the roomie I think. Either way, let me know when exactly you are going so we can hang out.^^

I actually do know of a semi-detective/mystery military sci-fi writer. Lois McMaster Bujold's Vorkosigan saga is brilliant. I highly recommend you check it out.

I've actually read most of them already, haha. And I agree, they are excellent. I guess I sort of classified them more under military scifi than mystery, but you are correct, many of them do have a mystery component. A lot of military scifi does, actually, because it involves strategies and secret plans, but I was thinking more along the lines of military police, or a government secret agent, or a government hired private eye or something along those lines....

VAMPS is playing. Actually, as it turns out I won't be going. I COULD afford it but then I would have no cushion in case like, my car broke or I had to take my dog to the vet. So it's a shame, but oh well.

And we'll see if my dad actually follows through on the bike...
