Ahhhh! Mezz fic! And high school AUs are secretly my favorite thing, and this was so perfect. I like how you played up the age difference, which isn't really a thing in the actual show but plays such a big role here. And the anti-Valentines party which actually is a Valentines party was inspired. Plus, kisses.

I'm really glad I decided to catch up with my friends' list today! We should talk soon - I haven't been around much, and I hate that I've fallen out of touch with people.

OTEMPS! ♥ Thank you so much! Nostalgia huuuuugs.

I'm glad you liked the age difference! I sort of hemmed and hawwed about how old they should be and whether Robin was too young and then decided, well what sophomore girl DIDN'T have a crush on a senior?

Anyway :) THANK YOU

I saw you sign on to... Skype? I think? today and almost said hi but then remembered something about you not having your computer and I wasn't sure whether you were really there, or whatever, anyway, the point is, let's chat soon!

Love the start of this. Barney singing "Whip It" while being adorably smarmy is absolutely what I would expect out of high school!Barney. :P

AWW! High School!Ted! High School!Lily! High School!Marshall. :)

I find it amusing that Barney keeps screwing up her last name. :P

Oh Robin. Oh Barney.
Don't you know you're going to end up together? Don't you know that the angst is so awesomely angsty when you're together?

Can I just say that you have a really addictive writing style? I mean, sure this is 6400 words, but you make it flow so effortlessly that it feels so easy to read.

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!

snoooooooooooooooooooogged ♥ my true love and the one I complained to as I was writing this. Thank you so much for reading and your absolutely lovely comment!

And thank you specifically for the comment on the length-- as you know I was rather worried about writing something so long, so, very kind of you to say it's still okay.

YOU'RE triple awesome!

OMG. My heart, it flutters. The fact that this story is set in high school, with everyone being so in character makes me want to puke rainbows. That's how amazing this is :D

LMAO! I think that's the first ever time I've made someone want to puke rainbows, and it is a high compliment indeed. SO glad you liked it, and thank you so, so much for your awesome comment!

I love this! I don't normally like high school AUs, but I knew I was going to like this one because I always love your stories. I just love all the little details here - the age difference being a big deal, Ted being the sweet high school boyfriend that Robin always thought she should have, Barney being well-dressed, Marshall eating a ton of food, Lily being an artist even then.

It was definitely an experiment to write something this AU, so I'm glad it worked for you. (And the fact that you remember my other stories is super flattering, so thank you for that too. ♥ ♥ ) It was harder than I thought to keep them in character, so thank you so much for your lovely comment!
