i have just one week left in india. my parents arrived a few days ago and i moved out of my bachelor to stay with them at a family friend's house. it's very jarring to be on this side of the city. i had forgotten what it was like to walk on italian marble and have six different dishes at dinner. and i didn't realize that hyderabad had so many ( Read more... )

g, sometimes it is remarkable how my 'unique & authentic' experiences are mirrored in other people's lives. it's a nice humbling feeling to know my oh-so-tortured angst is oft-seen. you'll find another aspect of your identity to identify with g. and hopefully, it will be just as authentic. or you'll make peace with the fact that identity, much like culture, is fluid and evolving in sometimes jarring ways. i think learning to be chill and flexible and forgiving with yourself is the grandest part 0f growing up. it is great compensation for newly acquired wrinkles. or thus i delude myself =)
