An old RPG, Chivalry & Sorcery, is being relaunched on Kickstarter!

Running through the end of the month, it's blown past its initial funding goal of £12,000 and is close to doubling it. For about $37US, you get the rules and all stretch goals in PDF, add $10~ and get them in print

I wonder if my brother was ever into that. I know he did Dungeons and Dragons. :)

C&S was rather esoteric and VERY detail-oriented. I would say a very small minority of D&D players also played C&S, so unlikely. But still possible.

The only thing these games require is an imagination. The game master is supposed to know the rules and be fair enough to take people by the hand and help them learn the rules over time. Some games are more complicated than others, games like Tunnels & Trolls used only six-sided dice, so you weren't dealing with an array of dice with different numbers of sides.

That's why a number of games have Quick Start editions on DriveThru RPG and give them away in print form at game and comic stores on Free RPG Day.
