I used to be completely crazy about Heroes, no lie. It's what got me into participating in fandom! But after the second season, my writing mojo for it started to die down, and after the first few episodes of the third, I just couldn't muster up the energy to care any more. It's sad, really. But based on what I hear about the end of the third season, I got out while the getting was good.

One of these days I'm going to check out Avatar, if only because everyone who's seen it declares it to be the Second Coming. But I'm wary of getting into something while I'm working on a fic for another fandom, because there's the danger of my interest in said fic dropping off...so, eventually! Eventually.

Avatar is very, very good- and maybe better for being a closed canon now, so that silly things like ship wars have less ammunition to fight with. Another advantage is that it's not going anywhere, so you can take your time! (And write more lovely Hetalia fic, yes please! :p )

I kind of lost interest in Heroes at about the same time too, but kept going to see if it got any better. I'm not gonna lie. It didn't. D:

Oh, oh, Avatar! You pretty much named all my favorite episodes, though The Ember Island Players probably tops my list. (Excluding the season finales. I think. Or. Uhm. Dammit, this is impossible.)

The ship wars scared and baffled me as well. Thank goodness Hetalia is such an equal-opportunities fandom when it comes to shipping.

...nothing's quenchier, you know.

It is totally impossible to pick just one episode as a favourite, isn't it? Ember Island Players is pretty fantastic and lulzy, but it doesn't have any big fight scenes (I think? I might need to go back and rewatch) which is one of the trademarks of the show, in my opinion.

Blagh, ship wars. I WASH MY HANDS OF THEM AND SHIP COUNTRIES INSTEAD.
