if i were an ikea product, i'd be a box. one that is of ample size and unassuming appearance that is built for function, not aesthetic. the average on-looker would most likely ignore said box, but the thrift aficionado would instantly recognize its simple, swedish design and that certain je ne se quoi only achieved by mass production. oh, and i'd come with a lid which, of course, would be sold separately.
