It is uncomfortable, and Alice doesn’t like it, the negative emotions of, well, everything that is going on, pressing in on her mental shielding. But knowing that Orihime is hurt, and in the building, Alice manages to force herself out of her hiding place, some lonely corner of the Medbay, and goes to visit ( ... )

Orihime's steadily drooping eyelids received a metaphorical second wind at the sound of the knocking, swimming open again and blinking blearily for a few moments. She lifted her head, hair clinging messily to the pillow, and smiled when she caught sight of a familiar face ( ... )

Skittish and frightened and uncomfortable, yes, but thankfully not hurt. Alice had remained in the museum, well, hiding in the museum, since she moved there and certainly while the monsters are about. It had taken an Evo damaging the building to convince Alice to let the scary masked man called V, in whose home she has been more of a haunt than a houseguest, to help her get to somewhere more protected. Who knows, she might not leave the Medbay when this is over.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t think to ask before, but, um, you aren’t allergic, are you?” The hedge-witch doesn’t think the other girl is, but the polite thing to do is to ask before putting the flowers where their scent can reach Orihime. Alice offers, as she enters the room and finds a nice level place to set the vase, pausing to adjust the blooms, “I hoped you might like them.”

And here's your daily EVO leekspin May 31 2011, 17:05:00 UTC
The rest wasn't working. Orihime awoke with a sharp, shuddering gasp, her back arching off of the bed. The pain that should have been subsiding by now had intensified to excruciating levels. Her arm throbbed, seemingly with each beat of her heart, as though the flow of blood brought nothing but agony.

Then she froze as she saw that her arm was literally throbbing, pulsing grotesquely, and swollen to three times its size. It was dark in color, threaded with thin strands of green. Her eyes widened in horror. Now that wasn't normal. The heat in her stomach seemed to burn her insides, and her thirst was unbearable. Her legs thrashed, kicking at the blankets violently and throwing her onto the cold, hard floor. Her body felt stiff, and sharp pain lanced through every inch of her ( ... )

Holiday hadn't left the Medbay since coming back with Orihime. In fact, she considered the Medbay 'home base' through all of this nonsense.

She had left the girl in her room only a few minutes ago. Orihime's wounds had been tended to and all that was left was for her to recover. Now, walking through the halls of the Medbay, she suddenly heard a crash.

Turning on her heel, she ran off in it's general direction, trying to find another sound to go with it. The doctor had little idea of what could've caused the sound, but it was likely bad.

Then, the scream. Frantic now, she finds Orihime's room, quickly running in.

"Orihi-..." Instead of the girl, there was a screaming EVO.

Yay Mom! leekspin May 31 2011, 21:07:32 UTC
Ordinarily, Orihime was fairly small in size; she stood only 5'1" tall. In those short few seconds of transformation, she'd gained at least two more feet.

And she was still growing.

Her body was growing long and willowy, the hospital gown scraps hanging loosely on her strange new frame. Her skin had toughened into a smooth, dark bark, vines tangled in her wild mass of woody brown hair. Two large blue flowers had blossomed on either side of her head, and her fingers were long, spidery branches, fragile in appearance...but not fragile in actuality, as she was peeling up curls of tile as she scratched and scrabbled at the ground.

In her mad thrashes of pain, a limb whipped out to knock over a stand of medical equipment, sending it crashing and splintering to the floor. And for some reason...it felt incredible. The ability to create and to mend was something she was very familiar with, but the ability to destroy...normally she abhorred it. This time, she savored it. She shivered, mind warring against the conflict of what was ( ... )

Shock. A whole lot of shock was going through her at the sight of Orihime's new form. She turned into a... tree? It was an incredible notion in itself that a person gone EVO can change form that drastically. Though, she was more than sure that this was because of the trees that had attacked her ( ... )
