“I’m sorry, I didn’t think to ask before, but, um, you aren’t allergic, are you?” The hedge-witch doesn’t think the other girl is, but the polite thing to do is to ask before putting the flowers where their scent can reach Orihime. Alice offers, as she enters the room and finds a nice level place to set the vase, pausing to adjust the blooms, “I hoped you might like them.”

Then she froze as she saw that her arm was literally throbbing, pulsing grotesquely, and swollen to three times its size. It was dark in color, threaded with thin strands of green. Her eyes widened in horror. Now that wasn't normal. The heat in her stomach seemed to burn her insides, and her thirst was unbearable. Her legs thrashed, kicking at the blankets violently and throwing her onto the cold, hard floor. Her body felt stiff, and sharp pain lanced through every inch of her ( ... )

She had left the girl in her room only a few minutes ago. Orihime's wounds had been tended to and all that was left was for her to recover. Now, walking through the halls of the Medbay, she suddenly heard a crash.
Turning on her heel, she ran off in it's general direction, trying to find another sound to go with it. The doctor had little idea of what could've caused the sound, but it was likely bad.
Then, the scream. Frantic now, she finds Orihime's room, quickly running in.
"Orihi-..." Instead of the girl, there was a screaming EVO.

And she was still growing.
Her body was growing long and willowy, the hospital gown scraps hanging loosely on her strange new frame. Her skin had toughened into a smooth, dark bark, vines tangled in her wild mass of woody brown hair. Two large blue flowers had blossomed on either side of her head, and her fingers were long, spidery branches, fragile in appearance...but not fragile in actuality, as she was peeling up curls of tile as she scratched and scrabbled at the ground.
In her mad thrashes of pain, a limb whipped out to knock over a stand of medical equipment, sending it crashing and splintering to the floor. And for some reason...it felt incredible. The ability to create and to mend was something she was very familiar with, but the ability to destroy...normally she abhorred it. This time, she savored it.
