Pepper was still under the impression that this vampire was a certain woman who perhaps had grown tired of the taste of her previous employer's blood and desired something a little less pickled. Therefore, she thought she was safe.

...Oops.

Pepper stopped walking, halting dead in her tracks as the chilly fog crept around her ankles and began to swirl up to surround her. This was entirely new. And since most strange occurrences in Nautilus were actually fairly harmless, she simply stared.

Pepper screamed, putting a hand to her collarbone and swallowing her heart before finally glancing back at Damon nervously.

"Oh my god, you just--" He just came out of nowhere, but she seems far more nervous about the sudden fog than the gorgeous normal looking human in front of her, "What's with this fog? I thought only the Northern District had it..." She glanced at the hand on her shoulder and then looked back at him with a flat expression.

"...I'm okay, sir. You can take your hand off me now." Of course, this also means she's giving him direct eye contact. Which is never a good thing when dealing with vampires. Not... that she knows anything about that.
