Naminé had always felt uncomfortable in the white halls, like she could be erased by them. And now that Axel wasn't in the castle anymore, she felt even more out of place. Roxas didn't know who she was, and she didn't know Xion. It was hard to find ways to spend her time.
Now she made her way into the kitchen. It was a part of this place she hadn't yet been to, and she didn't even know they needed to eat in Nautilus. She quickly found that she wasn't alone, though.
Had Lea been here the entire time, in the castle? She hadn't actually noticed.
Finding the ingredients for pancakes had been easy enough, even if he'd had to drag a chair over to the cabinet to get something off of a very high shelf. Mixing them had been equally simple, after he'd, y'know, remembered how much of each thing he needed to add. He'd just poured the first bit of batter into the pan when he heard a voice behind him, prompting him to look back over his shoulder toward the door.
"Oh, hey!" he greeted, grinning brightly. It was that girl he'd talked to when he first got here. Naminé, if he remembered right. Which, of course, he always did. "I didn't know you were here."
It was no real surprise, to him. What would Isa's uncle do with all this free space anyway? Certainly not put anything exciting in.
He gestured to the pancake batter, adding, "You had breakfast yet? Or lunch, I guess."
"No," she said, coming a little closer to see what he was doing. "I'm not sure we have to eat here." The cooking batter certainly smelled good. If he offered, she would probably have some.
"Don't have to eat?" he repeated, his puzzlement making itself clear on his face. "That's weird. Why wouldn't you wanna? It tastes good for a reason, y'know."
He looked back at the pancake, flipping it over before it started burning.
"You like pancakes? I've got enough for both of us."
