Who: Sora, open. What: Poor Sora has no idea what just happened. Where: Northern District. When: Noonish Warnings: None~...at least, I wouldn't think. Also, it's much too late at night for witty lj-cut text.
It couldn't be said that Axel was worried. It could probably be argued that he wasn't even curious. But he was certainly ... interested in what the eventual fate of Tony Stark had been. He'd spent so much of his time here walking on figurative eggshells around anyone who might end up being useful, after all. Being able to drop that act and outright tell someone he couldn't feel the guilt he was supposed to was ... well. A nice change.
Predictably, there was no sign of the man when he stepped out of a portal by the Northern Gate. No body, no blood ... no way to tell what had happened. The Nobody scratched the back of his head and sighed. Either the city cleaned up well, or someone else had done it.
With no clues to go on, and certainly not being the tracker Saïx was (is, he'd come back), Axel shrugged his shoulders and began making his way back toward the city. Although he didn't spot anything that might hint at Stark's fate, his search wasn't completely in vain
( ... )
He hadn't been able to look around much before he heard someone say his name. Sora turned around and, when he saw who it was, wasn't able to stop himself from stepping back, his shock apparent on his face.
"Axel!"
He ran the few steps over to where the other man was standing. His thoughts about where he was had been placed on the back burner for the moment.
There was no doubt in Axel's mind. This was actually Sora. The only other explanation would have been one of those Nightmare things, but it wasn't as though the Nobody could feel fear. So, since it couldn't be one of those, it must just be ... Sora.
But how was that even be possible? Roxas was already here; how could Sora be here as well? From the sound of it, he'd obviously seen Axel fade away ... which would mean that Roxas had already....
... He wasn't going to get any answers by just staring at the kid.
"It's, ah.... Kind of a long story." He paused, searching for the right words. "Basically? I faded away and ... woke up here."
Another pause, followed by a slight shrug. "So maybe it's not actually that long of a story."
Sora really wasn't sure what to make of it all. For a moment he stayed silent, trying to think it through. When a nobody faded away, didn't they just...disappear? So how had Axel ended up here, exactly? Of course, that particular trail of thought led him right back to wondering where here was, exactly.
In any case, he was happy that Axel was here, alive and well.
"Well, I'm glad you're okay." he said, smiling. "But where is here, anyway?"
Pearl was still wandering, still homeless. It was cold outside and she couldn't sleep. She wasn't even sure where she was anymore. Far away from the Opera House, of course--she wouldn't go back there for some time. And though she felt bad about abandoning Larry and Derek and Rip...she was scared of Rip. So very scared of seeing grief etched plainly on someone's face. She'd seen it so much and it hurt knowing she couldn't help.
She would go back. Someday. When she was stronger, perhaps.
((You'll prolly have your hands full with Axel, but...if you ever get a chance to work her in, that'd be cool.))
A little while after his conversation with Axel, Sora was still outside, wandering around in hopes of learning his way around Nautilus. It wasn't going very well - this place was big. He was beginning to think about taking a break when he saw a girl. She looked upset, and Sora couldn't help but wonder if she was alright. He walked over to her, stopping just a few feet away.

"Hey there, are you okay?"

"I'm fine. I'm just...looking for a place to stay."

"I was kind of doing the same thing, actually - are you new here, too?" he asked.
