I don't understand being bothered by your own apathy. Do you care or not? If you care, then go out and do something about it. It's ridiculous to think that some noble calling will just fall in your lap. I'm reasonably sure there was not a special "protester" section in the classifieds durring the civil rights movement, or the viet nam war. If you don't care, then stop complaining. Seriously, you need to leave P.A. for a while so you can realize that the rest of the world is just as shitty and boring. You may find other places cool for a while, but then you'll do everything you are interested in, and realize that P.A. insn't so bad. You've got to make do with what you've got, and you don't do that, you just bitch about it and piss me off, not in the sense that I hate you, but just that you allow yourself to get so worked up over nothing. You've got friends here that don't want to see you go, like me, but quite frankly I agree that you need to get out of here for a while so you will stop being a whiny bitch. Maybe you will find some calling out there that's right for you, but really there isn't much going on right now. its too fucking hard to get people to even be your real friend anymore. my alaskan life currently consists of all one sided all me way too much effort relationships. which I'm pretty much gonna drop this week.
