"Clueless white people". I used to give folks like this a pass, but with so many outlets to gain positive knowledge (outside of the mass media)about people of color, there's no excuse for anyone to continue being ignorant.

I just wanted to say this because I get so tired of us PoC's having to wade through so much nonsense. I just wanna have fun.

For me, steampunk is a sort of vengeance on history. Using the life and time I have now, I choose to imagine and bring to life a different reality. I relish the idea of slavemasters turning over in their graves at the idea of a Black female inventor/navigator/pilot/professor. I claim the power of self-definition and self-actualization that so many before me were robbed of, and I have fun doing it!
