(you know, "I want the fire back"). That scene is sad as hell, but that symbolism makes it kind of better for a while. I never thought about that. Brilliant.

All these scenes are amazing! I don't even (really) ship it, but that final scene in 'Beneath You' still turns me into a shaking, crying mess. It's just so perfectly, beautifully, painfully heart-breaking.

Exactly. I'd even go as far as to call it one of the best Buffy scenes.
