WHO: Ophelia and Oswald~
WHERE: Abaton International Airport
WHEN: July 20th, 1934
WHY: This luggage isn't going to walk itself home <3 And Cute Little Old Lady is super effective against Oswald. :C

It had been an endless rotation of ships, trains, and airplanes, but yet Ophelia couldn't help the spring in her step when she finally touched American soil. )

At least one good thing that came from service was that he was punctual if he could help it, partially because of the memory of punishments for being tardy. And because being late just didn't seem like something he'd do, anyway.

He'd taken one of the school's cars, since he didn't have one of his own (and it wasn't as if he needed one), and he was already waiting for Ophelia by the time he saw her.

"Velcome back, frau. Had a good trip?"

Whirlwind of color and cheer that she was, Ophelia descended upon the much larger man in moments, leaving her suitcase a few feet behind her as she rushed to take one of his hands in both of hers. Her scarf fluttered about her face in the wind kicked up from the runway behind her as she practically beamed at Oswald. Of course the people abroad had been lovely and inviting, for the most part, and she had sent letters and telegraphs (the best she could do in most cities) but there wasn't anything quite like being back home and face to face with missed friends.

"It was wonderful, dear. Simply marvelous, I haven't had such an adventure in ages! But you, dear! How have you been while I was gone? Keeping everything in shape, I'm certain?"

"Fine as I ever am. Gardens are doing vell, yeah." Since that was more or less the only thing he ever did around the school during summer. Unless some students wanted to use the gym or something, but he was fairly certain that a lot of students were too intimidated to ask him for the keys. "Kids aren't causing too much trouble."

Ophelia hadn't thought that there would have been too much trouble at Adessi, her asking Oswald was more out of doting fondness than the fear that her darling little chickadees had done something wrong. What sort of trouble could the dears really have gotten into, anyways?

"What a relief," she smiled, and let go of Oswald's hands so that she could reach over and fetch her forgotten luggage. "I knew you would keep them in line, although they hardly needed it, I bet."
