I'd like to know what he was thinking as he took that exceptionally terrible swing and missed. In terms of the character that is.
Did he HONESTLY think he would land a punch?
OR did he do it on purpose to gain an advantage... from the ground? o_o

I think he thought "I'm fine! You didn't hurt me. That was nothing. Have at you! :: swings a punch and misses :: ... I was meant to fall down ..." So probably the first one.

I dunno this is Holmes were talking about. Rememeber he has a valid reason for everything.
He was really aiming for his legs... yeah... the legs.
