Wow, that's awesome! I don't know the first thing about crocheting/knitting/anythinglikethat, but dang, that looks great, especially for a first try at something! Glad you found some arty things to do :3
Your edges look really even- which is what most people seem to have a problem with :) I think double is actually one of the easiest ones to learn with; single crochet is great but you can't see your stitches as well as you can with the doubles.
I did a practice patch where it's all uneven and out of whack haha did single, half double, double, and triple on it. The curtsy videos you sent me though were extremely helpful

Oh, all kinds of crazy scarves for starters. My favorite was the alien illusion scarf. At one angle you saw strips and at another, alien heads. I also knitted hats, caplets and shawls. In fact, I have a peacock shawl that I need to finish...:3
