LJ Idol Season 10, Week 9: Trolley Problem

Feb 21, 2017 08:56

A little bit of warning with this entry -- there's a heavy mention of head trauma and gore as a result. If blood makes you squicky, you might wanna steer clear.

Ten days isn’t all that long, you tell yourself. Just a week and a half, no more, no less. Yes, it’s the longest the two of you have ever spent in each other’s spaces, but --

Ten days out of a nearly five-year friendship still isn't much... )

You two are so careful with your friendship, your attachment to one another, your involvement with each other's lives. This was a beautiful testament to the hard work you put in.

Thank you. :) We do put a lot of work into things and I'm really glad I met her through Idol, almost five years ago, now. <3

I hope the woman is ok, I like how you wove the relationship with your friend into the events at the bank and back into events into your life.

We literally haven't heard anything, but the car that we think was hers had been removed from the parking lot in the past week. I hope she's okay, too.

The weaving the two was Sarah's idea, actually. She read my first run through which was really disjointed and kinda word vomitty and was like HEY I'D LIKE TO SEE YOU WEAVE WHAT HAPPENED AT WORK AND OUR FRIENDSHIP STUFF TOGETHER. And it apparently came out very well. xD

This is so...I have tears blurring my Kindle keyboard. My heart feels as though it has been through a war. It has. This is such an emotionally rich work.

Kudos! Huge kudos!
