Bold move, killing Jazz -- or did you? Did some small bit of life remain, to be revived next week? Excellent addition to the story. This was a very well written death scene.

I do. His death is one of those things that's been written in stone in so many variations of this story that he kind of Knows it's His Job to Die at some point.

n3m3sis43 worked very hard on a companion piece but it wasn't coming together fast enough (real life got in the way on her end). Hopefully she'll get to finish it and put it up as a Home Game. :)

Of course, I start with this and I'm sure some other topic will thrust me to a point before this part of the story, but here we are. :)

Looks like you and n3m3sis43 have gone beyond the point of fanfiction in each other's universes and starting merging parts of them!

I didn't expect Jazz to truly die here. I thought Devin could somehow manipulate those wounds into a healthy state, and would. Jazz didn't seem to want him to, but the tiredness is temporary if you wind up surviving.

Yeah, it's now "the shared 'verse" because Jazz and Devin refuse to be separated from one another and tbh all the work we've done to combine shit has made both universes that much stronger. :)

Ah, shit, that's context I totally forgot to put in here. xD Devin is a great Manip but healing is not something he does very well (if he can do it at all). He could help take Jazz's pain away/slow down the blood loss/keep Jazz conscious but he can't legit heal him. And attempting to puts a huge strain on him.

But yeah, our theory is Jazz was probably wrong about whether Devin could get him to safety without also killing Devin in the process, but we'll never find out lolol

Oh a death scene ... the ultimate love angle.
I haven't followed these two anywhere else ... Just goes to show how bad my reading has been this season .... But if you have written about them this season would definitely love to go back and read ....

I wrote about them during the break week, but I haven't written anything from this 'verse before the break week. :) I've actually been trying to avoid them, a tiny bit, because there's SO MUCH to their 'verse and it's really hard to write pieces that are complete enough that they don't require additional context.

n3m3sis43 is my partner in crime for this universe and she wrote a couple of pieces featuring characters from Devin's side of it, including one from his POV for Brushback Pitch. :) I loved her work so much I let my character fall in love with hers, basically. xD
