I wish I had characters anywhere near as vivid and real as this.

No. No you don't. TRUST ME ON THIS, OKAY???

The others are not quite as loud as these three. Not quite.

I'm pretty much convinced I'm not meant to be a writer, seeing as none of my characters are at all real to me.

Disagree -- you write beautifully, AND you sold a thing! Which is something I haven't done. :)

Some people are character driven, some are more plot driven. I suspect the plot driven people don't understand the plight of the character driven folk. :)

Sarah’s only response is a looping series of L’s and O’s.

This is so, so easy to visualize, and it puts the most grounded of spins to an otherwise ungrounded situation.

“You had a thing with the previous Emperor?” she asks, her eyes wide and her voice quiet.

Yes! This is exactly how these things get away from writers (I remember realizing that one of my characters had spent time in a psychiatric hospital, and of course she spent time in a psychiatric hospital. It explains so much about her), and how we're really victims of our own stories.

And that is my favorite part.

Yay! :) I'm glad that line worked as intended, hah. (She laughs at my pain a lot, too, though. Especially when J&S are driving me insane.)

We really are. I have gained some sort of semblance of control, but the above entry really just shows that the amount of control I thought I had is still very little. They steer and direct and hint that I need to do things and then let me figure that shit out on my own and it DRIVES ME INSANE.

But it is a lot of fun, too. :)

Wow, this is extraordinarily well done. Bravo!

I'm not sure if I'm jealous of your ensemble or glad I don't have one of my own, LOL. :)

Thank you! :) This is not my usual sort of thing, but the idea really grabbed me.

Be glad you don't have one of your own, hah. These guys haunt me. I'm serious.

LOL! This is a breath of fresh air and a fun look at the crazy world inside your head. I kinda wish my muses were this personified on a day to day basis! Or maybe I really really don't.

Thank you. :) It is rather crazy in here; they've been quieter since I figured out why I needed to write this book. That is, until this morning, at least. And then Mitchel has been doing what he does best, which is stalk me into the shower and tell me all of the things he would do and how bad ass he'd be as he said it.

In not so many words, of course. The man has some dignity. ;)

(And you really, really don't. They get very annoying and very loud and VERY DEMANDING after a while and it sucks, lol.)
