Thank you. :) I struggled a minute with either 3rd or 2nd person POV, but then the piece started writing itself in 2nd. I guess because subconsciously I knew I'd mention Evelyn, at some point.

I think it really pops in second person, I have to agree on that one. It helps bring the situation home to the reader.

You're welcome. :) The consent thing was a hard one for me -- because I was always big on asking Ev if things were okay with her (because she had issues with sex), but Ev wasn't so big on asking me if I was really okay -- and a lot of the time I would feel the need to lie even if things weren't. =/ With Joe I actually learned I could say no if I wasn't okay with it and that I would be listened to.

That was such a huge thing for me -- it's ridiculous that I had to learn it through my best friend as opposed to the woman I married.
