The fact that it's so rarely done is why I want to tackle it correctly. There's "more," but this version of the story (it's getting extended) has a lot of changes coming to it. I might explore a bit more of it for Idol. :)

My gut says no, he doesn't. Not right away, though it might be borderline too late once he does. (Something tells me Kenji disappeared because he's dealing with his own problems and can't deal with anything else -- gut instinct says drugs, which. D:)

Except when I picked it back up and finished it, I realized he doesn't. And well, I am a discovery writer, so of course I got a flash of an image of Kenji otherwise indisposed himself, dealing with his own issues.... But yeah.
I think he's trying to get help for himself and the timing was just reaaaaally bad for James. Poor bbs. =/
