Okay, I read this while really tired, and for a moment I thought Kamui had killed the puppy @.@ So, that's just to give you a brief idea of the condition of my brain while writing this comment.

I have to say, this story completely and utterly rocks my socks. Not only is the idea of Kamui being raised by Setsuka one of the coolest things ever, I'm so, so glad Seishirou hasn't been effectively deleted. Your Setsuka is just a perfect mix of creepy killer and loving mother - I just cannot express how much I love the way you've characterised her. I'm totally hooked.

So yeah ♥ Good luck with writing future instalments; I'll be looking forward to them.

LOL. Don't worry about it. You would not believe how frazzled I was last night when posting this. I think I had to edit the post a couple of times just to fix my author's notes because people generally like it when you finish sentences and make sense I've found. ^~

But thank you very much. ♥ It was just one of those weird things that happened through conversation. shineko and I were talking about it a post or two before she drew her Setsuka & Kamui picture. I liked the idea and it just sort of took root. It's also given me a new respect for Setsuka as a character in her own right, rather than a footnote in X's history. Her chapter with Seishirou is rather pivotal, particularly in regards to his character and what happens with Subaru. I'm starting to think what I'd really love to see at some point is some sort of history of the Clan itself though I am having fun speculating on those aspects myself. CLAMP really doesn't tell you that much, certainly not beyond Tokyo Babylon

I like the way you've written Setsuka. It's the best characterisation of her that I've seen anywhere so far. It's interesting to see the effect that being raised by Setsuka has had on Kamui. The things I liked best about this chapter were Setsuka's reaction to Kamui looking disappointed, and the way she switched from going "Of course, dear. Anything you like." to killing that unfortunate physician.

Aww, thank you. ♥ Very much even. I was kind of iffy on this chapter myself -- probably because I held onto it for so long before finally putting it out. But it's nice to hear that it turned out all right. ^^ And I'm really excited about actually getting to see how much of a stamp Setsuka is going to put on Kamui. And vice versa.

But thank you very much. I love hearing from you on this because ... well, it is for you for one and for another I can always tell what you've read. ^~ The doctor...yeah, his days were numbered. Setsuka is too mercurial to allow that kind of continued negligence and even if it wasn't entirely his fault that Seishirou died, I think there's probably something in her that held him accountable as well as herself. And that first scene was fun; Setsuka is so amusing when she's furious. Really quite unlike any of the other characters. I do love baby Kamui though he's not quite so little. There are bits of him still shining few but Setsuka would definitely leave a stamp on anyone. ...I feel just a wee bit bad for saying this but I almost feel like his childhood would have been happier with Setsuka. Or perhaps a bit more stable. I think Tohru tried but in the end, she really didn't seem to know what to do with him or his destiny or her own. ;_; Plus, yanno, losing Saya.
