While they did make Catherine guilty b/c of her affair with Culpeper, her prior relations with Dereham has always struck me as a ridiculously absurd allegation. It's like Henry was making the rules up as he went along.
I can't work out the way Henry's mind works - he's such an arrogant, hypocritical, idiot sometimes - though, I suppose in the case of Catherine she had supposedly decieved him in not revealing her pre-marital history. I know it's historically accurate, but I found Show!Henry's logic when it came to commuting Culpeper's sentence a bit weird... That he supposedly hated Dereham more because he 'spoiled Catherine' for him, when surely Culpeper had done worse?
I suspected they'd use 'I die a queen but I would rather due the wife of Culpeper.' I don't think they could help themselves. As often happens in The Tudors, 'effect' overruled historical accuracy.
There was a lot left out - particularly the Howard family and Norfolk's hand in it all. I think they did alright with the characters available (shame Hans Matheson couldn't come back to play Cranmer), and there were some moments that I thought were particularly well done (even at the expense of historical accuracy - this is a television programme after all) - but they did rush Catherine's story and could have spread this week's episode over two episodes at least.
Lady Rochford's downfall wasn't nearly as satisfying as I'd hoped it would be. I ended up feeling really sorry for her. I don't think her character got enough of a storyline in this episode - again, something which would have worked better if they'd spread the episode and not just rushed everyone to the block.
It was kind of a let down for me, to be honest. I know Katherine wasn't of any great importance (unlike Ann, who brought on the reformation), but ... eh, I don't know. Overall, I usually come out of a Tudor's episode wishing it was next week, but this one didn't cause that same reaction.

I got that same feeling, but mostly because there are 5 episodes left and I honestly don't know how they're going to keep up the Catherine Parr story for that long... I didn't think there was that much to it. I hope the final episodes will focus on Edward, Elizabeth and Mary a bit more, seeing as we're not going to be getting a season following their reigns.
I felt that episode 5 was great, but too rushed! I thought that the show would spread out the Katherine Howard/Lady Rochford's execution for another episode.
But I wish miss Tamzin Merchant on the show. She did amazing job as Katherine Howard.

Before Kathrine was executed, I felt sorry for her, kinda but not really. Also when she peed, that was a surprise.
