Peggy is one of those people who has the misfortune of wandering in. With recent events and discoveries, she finds herself in need of some really strong alcohol, enough to at least dull her senses so she could keep up the facade of being entirely calm and collected about this whole ordeal.

Being told you're from the past and being brought to an entirely new dimension right after your somewhat significant other "dies" is really tiresome, believe it or not.

She really shouldn't be surprised that the saloon is filled with people, and nor does she mind. Talking to people in person would serve as a good distraction, and even an agent like herself knows how to have fun every now and then.

"I wouldn't hold your breath on that count," Gwen says with a sigh. "If this were a dream, Jack wouldn't be from the wrong point in his timeline, and I'd be able to shout at him properly."

...What? She's still really damn upset about being abandoned like that!

And Peggy is confused! Though she recognizes the name Jack.

"I met a man named Jack here. Harkness, is it? Are you a friend of his?"

"That's the one," Gwen agrees. "We work together. I'd say he's my boss, and he is technically, but it's a team effort as much as anything. Him and Ianto there," Gwen gestures towards Ianto, "are both my coworkers. Lovely boys, when they want to be. Jack especially can be unbearable sometimes."

Jack recognized her from their earlier conversation -- hard not to, with the way she's dressed. They both rather stand out. He gave her a wave when she entered, and another small salute. What? Old habits die hard.

"Evening, Agent Carter," he said cheerfully, and slid in to sit next to her.

She returns the salute, greatful for some sense of familiarity. Not only due to the fact that she recognized him from their brief chat, but simply due to the familiar militaristic habit.

"Captain Harkness." There's an incline of the head, "Fancy seeing you here."

"Well, there's not much to do around the wagons besides talk to oxen and other people." He paused a little, thinking of the Doctor. "Though some do enjoy that sort of thing, I guess. I've been wanting to look round, and Jenny invited me along, so here I am."

He shrugged and gave Peggy a small smile. "What about you? Boredom?"

"In need of a good drink, actually." She settles in her seat, resting her arms on the bar's counter, "Though I suppose boredom might have something to do with it, too."

"I think we all are, ending up in the American frontier." He shrugged a bit. "I'm just looking around, mostly."

"See anything of interest aside from the wagons and oxen?"

"Friends from home that I haven't seen in ages, so that's always nice."
