"I suppose we only come from my land and not any others, as it appears the race of Men do." Spreading his arms out, he added, "Well, I'm a Hobbit. Smaller in stature than a Man, slightly pointed ears," he paused to put a hand behind his ear to show her, "and large hairy feet suitable for walking."

Sansa remembered well enough not to make a face at Pippin's feet, though a small crease did appear across the bridge of her nose as she glanced down at them. Only when she looked up again did she realize that what the Hobbit had said was true, his ears were slightly pointed, which Sansa found to be rather endearing.

"Your people have never graced the shores of Westeros, or if they have, word of them has not been set down in song nor record. I am honored to make your acquaintance."

"Thank you, my lady. I am most honored to make yours as well." He paused in brief thought, then added, "In my world, Hobbits stayed in the Shire, except for a few excellent adventurers, myself included, and so the world of Men knew naught of us. If Hobbits do dwell in your world, they keep themselves hidden out of the affairs of the Big Folk."
