I vote your journal entry the most drool-worthy entry I've seen in a long while!
Dare I ask what goes into your coconut cream corn?
The title is quite intriguing!
I have the Moosewood Bread Book somewhere around the house...I have no idea which is my favorite cookbook but I've been buying a bunch of them at library sales here lately. I recently got a copy of the old classic Fannie Farmer. I really do like the America's Test Kitchen recipes. They tell you what all they tried along the way to their "best recipe". I love their tip they gave about cooking dried beans: Add a bit of salt to their soaking water and the skin on the beans will cook up very tender. It works!
One of my personal favorites is red potatoes cooked with onions. It comes out looking like lumpy mashed potatoes but I love the taste!
it's finally warmed up enough that I can begin to get outside and work in my yard. I hope to begin work on a kitchen/herb garden this week once I get through with the pruning.
