I think it looks great! I'd hire you. The only suggestion I have is to maybe make the banner at the top something baby- or birth-related?

Also, I hope this isn't too nosy, but personally, I'd be a little more firm with the price. I wouldn't want people to pay you less than you are worth. I would say something like, my services cost X, but I also offer a sliding scale option for those who need it. Please contact me to discuss. Is $600 the going rate where you live? Seems very low to me.

I really like how you are pricing your services. I remember your explanation and I think it's really smart. I got my IUD on Monday but in about 3-4 years we'll try for #3 and you know when I get my BFP I'll be letting you know so I can hire you :)

awww, thank you. its really wonderful to hear that clients who previous received free services were so impressed they'd be willing to pay. i do not yet have my first paying client, so all this money stuff is pretty scary for me ...

Nice clean website! My only suggestion is to increase your geographic range. Why limit yourself from Everett to Kent, north-to-south? I'd say go up to Mount Vernon to Kent, as Mount Vernon is the same distance north as Kent is to the south, and thus you'll get the Skagit County/North Snohomish county market included.

My $.02

thanks!

the problem with you mostly awesome suggestion is that it makes me trapped in everett for the four weeks that i am on-call when a mama is due. its true that most on-call periods won't last the full four weeks, but anything that limits my ability to travel to kent on the weekends really upsets my family. like a lot. and i am willing to put myself in that position for a close friend such as your lovely wife, but for a complete stranger, its probably not best.

maybe in the future, we won't be going down the quite so often, but for right now, its a huge priority.

i thought more about this suggestion, especially since its been bugging me that the home page is so short. maybe instead of saying "from everett to kent" implying but not actually saying "and everything in-between" i could make a more extenstive list of all the towns i do serve.

PS: stephen called the lead you sent us the other day and they said they'd call him back :-)

that is a good idea. this is the last photo of myself that i really like, and its from 2008. even though i think i look good, its probably best to have a more recent one, so i don't look too young and inexperienced.

and about the mama/baby photos, i spent a really long time looking at stock photos on the internet and i just can't find one i like. it would be awesome to use one of a friend or an actual client, with her permission, of course. i am looking for one of a mama making the laborland/birthing face, long and horizontal like what the photo already is.

in stockphotoland, that doesn't exist. there were several of a mom getting an epidural inserted though ...
