Alli has cried more in the last 48 hours than she previously did in her entire 4 months and 3 weeks of life.

Have you tried giving her a frozen bagel to chew on? I know some parents who did that when their babies were teething...

i wouldn't do that before she's old enough to have food, because even though its frozen, her nomming on it will melt it enough that the bread will thaw and she could end up ingesting some of it. i'll keep it in mind in six months or so when she's getting her back molars in though, those are REALLY awful.

she does have those little plastic teethers with gel in them and incidentally spent awhile on the carpet tonight nomming on one. it didn't make her sprinkles and sunshine again, but at least the ear-splitting crying stopped. (for awhile)

Tylenol? Motrin? Dude, I am all about the natural remedies, but when the baby is in that much pain, I medicate.

and i would have in a heartbeat if they hadn't worked. but she slept! twice now, it's worked. i'm pretty sure it's the gripe water though. the hylands ... i dunno. i'm still experimenting.
