A deep sigh of relief

I had my 34 week appointment today, and asked to be checked, even though it's two weeks earlier than they would normally start checks. On Friday, I was having contractions that were 6 minutes apart and it was scaring the crap out of me. They were uncomforatable (but not PAINFUL) and I did eventually call the midwife and ask what I should do ( Read more... )

yes. i went on bedrest at 34w2d and he was born at exactly 37 weeks. which should have been "term" (he was allowed to be born in the birth center) but he still ended up in the NICU for 8 days. so i was pretty paranoid.

OMG, I will have everything crossed for you that the offer is not too good to be true!

Yay for no preterm labor, and I will fend off the midwife-defying fast labor vibes. ;)

yes, thank you. i'm not worried about midwife-defying fast labors, just husband-defying fast labors :-)

thankfully, my midwife lives about 20-25 minutes away and her clinic is only about 10 minutes.

i wish i could get your story out of my head though. i've told it to like 5893405 people since last week!!!!!! :-)

Ha, I can haz notorious labor?! :D

Doesn't hurt to keep the husband-man close, but babies do have a sense of timing. :) I think your labor will be just the right length for you! :D

i always end it with "AND THEN SHE GAVE BIRTH IN THE HALLWAY OF THE HOSPITAL ON THE WHEELY BED WITH ONLY TWO NURSES AND HER HUSBAND WITH NO DOCTOR AND NO MIDWIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HER HUSBAND CAUGHT THE BABY AND CUT THE CORD AND IT WAS ALL NATURAL AND BEAUTIFUL AND ONLY THREE HOURS FROM THE FIRST CONTRACTION UNTIL THE BIRTH!!!!

and yes, i pretty much shout the whole thing. :-)

Oh, boy! Peace of mind all around!I'm happy for you that you have such enthusiastic buyers! And that you're still on track for a home birth. What a gift in both arenas. :) Good things are happening for your family!
