Ben and I went shopping this afternoon and I got him a Melissa & Doug wooden hammmer and pegs set and a Fisher Price plastic toy drum. It was $11 total, and he really likes both toys. I also got some things for me, but it seems to be turning out that maybe I won't need them tomorrow after all. I have not yet received a call back

I had to leave three messages the first time before I got a call back. I'd forgotten about that. After that, it's been no issue. I wonder if they're just wary of new people the first time they call?

were you still able to go on the right day? i'm worried because the message asked for 48 hours of notice, and it was only about 32 when i called the first time. and i can't/don't want to go on Friday, so if I can't go tomorrow, that means Saturday and that's bad news for impatient husbands who have Friday expectations ...

should I call them back again tonight? can I tell them you recommended it? do you think that would help?

The first time was for my wedding, so I had a few days I could go - not just one particular day. I think they were able to get me in the next day, though?

I think you should definitely call back. Say you are calling for a second time and you're not sure if your first message went through. I wouldn't use my name, though. It's supposed to be anonymous and I don't know how they'd respond to mentioning someone else's name. But definitely call again!

uh oh. i already did call back and just said your first name. :ducks and apologizes:

i'm really sorry.

and she did call back and say thursday was fine, but she talked to my husband :eyeroll: not to me. he took down the number for me to call her back and it was the same number i'd been calling, the message number. so i left another message thanking her and asking her to call me back again so we could talk more about it.

i don't even know what time to go ... i hope she calls back tonight but its pretty late, so i guess i'll just have to keep my fingers crossed for tomorrow.

yeah. she called back late last night after i left a second message, while i was putting ben to bed.

stephen answered.

he took down the message "thursday is great"

so i called her back saying i didn't know what time to go, and at least she was pretty nice to me when she called me back this morning and said "what i said was 'thursday at 8' "
