I have no idea why I have that song stuck in my head - I haven't heard it in years - but its been floating around all morning. Things are strangely quiet on lj today, no updates this morning from people who usualy write daily, no updates in more than a week from people who usualy write at least weekly ... it's like a ghost town. sounds like fun!

my husband got a new job, so we are all staying with my mom until our stupid house sells. who knows how long it will last until we go nuts.

i will probably make a chore chart too, because otherwise i am a tornado and leave things in a huge mess.

i don't have to do chores, really, just not make things worse, but she is letting us stay there rent-free, so i want to try and help out some.

ooh, my SIL who is a teacher, got some 365 activities book, and she does a project with her 3 yr old every day. She also does weekly lesson type things. Like one week they learned about dinosaurs. I plan to do something similar with Andrew, but he's still just a baby, and not ready for me to teach!! although, he probably is old enough

we did get a sesame street preschool workbook awhile ago that teaches colors (he knows them all) the alphabet (he knows all the caps but struggles with those pesky lowercase ones) and numbers (can count, sort of. gets lost sometimes. often goes 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 14 20. But definitetly doesn't know numerals by sight at all.) anyway, the book wants more hand/eye cordination than he typically has ... like trace this letter and draw a line from the yellow shoe to the yellow sock. Ben can point to them and tell you that they're both yellow, but if you put a crayon in his hand, he'd be off drawing on the couch before you had time to sneeze.

i like the idea of projects though ... maybe we can do chore-projects that will actually benefit the house, like mopping or vacuuming ...

ha ha. i'll do my best.

there's naptime and after Ben's asleep at night time and when Stephen gets home time ... and maybe while Ben is watching a movie time.

i think this comment should have had the icon that says something about i'm at work, that's why i have all this spare time :-)

I love that song.

SAHM...hmm. I am a terrible person to get that kind of advice from because I am not a very structured person. You should consider a mom's group for playdates and such... it will give you something to do and people to talk to every now and then.

yeah, we'll be taking some classes, and i'll of course be looking up the local LLL ... but I'm STILL worried that we will be too idle and it will lead to destruction ...

Get up between 6 and 7:30am -- Change, Nurse, mix medications for babies, give medicines, feed dogs, make breakfast foods for babies, eat mommy breakfast, nurse, feed babies breakfast foods, Nurse, go out for morning playgroups/errands OR playtime OR babywear both and do stuff afound house, nurse, 10am-ish morning nap (with mommy), change, mommy tries to get lunch, playtime, nurse, 2pm-ish afternoon nap (mommy tries to do laundry or clean something), nurse, change, prep dinner/clean kitchen/fold day's laundry, nurse, mix medications & give babies meds, prep for daddy to get home, nurse, make baby dinner, feed baby dinner, nurse, play with daddy, read books, sing, wrap, bed.

the day will fly by, I promise!!! I barely feel like I finish feeding the babies EVER! we also do 3 playgroups a week, plus LLL and sometimes a class (music, baby sign, etc.) You will be super busy!

*yawn* Morning nap just ended!

yup -- every weekday I do 1-3 oversized loads of laundry. Otherwise it begins to overflow the hampers (& we have lots of hampers...) This is despite the fact that I wear the same clothes a lot. Maybe it is having 2 babies? or a clothes-horse hubby?? it never ends!

I work from home on Tuesdays - so if you ever need to get out of the house I WOULD LOVE IT if you came to visit with Landon :D I usually don't have tons of work, so I am sure we could visit too, but Landon and Ben could get some good playtime in for sure!! Also I have Fridays off - want to go to the zoo with us? Maybe give Stephen a small break, some time to himself on his day off? Or of course he could come too!!

ben has his class in the afternoon, but we could hang out in the morning sometimes :-)
