Am I being over-dramatic about all this? Maybe, but not by a lot. Here is what's gone on since my last update at the nuke plant. After work was over that day, I got a ride back to Aberdeen with a couple of coworkers. I had opted to hitch a ride over there to save the precious little gas we had left. you poor thing!! =( how stressful!

is everyone healthy enough for the party on Sunday? I am going to buy a gift tonight - any special requests? ( i am leaning towards books...but i am going to Costco, so there is always the chance something else will be just too cool to pass up...)

its our party, we have to be there! books sound great. everyone keeps asking me what to get and i dont' know, really. he likes everything! :-)

Yikes. So do you have power back at your house or not?
What about the other folks at the paper? What are they doing if they have no power?

yeah we do. some parts of town have power, others don't. the grocery stores are back up, but the fast food places aren't. there's still no gas to be found.

people are toughing it out i guess. going to friends houses ... the ymca is letting everyone use their showers ... there are shelters being opened up in a few cities ...

You're not being over-dramatic at all. In fact, if it were me I would be entirely more dramatic about the situation. You're a trooper. I am so glad everyone is safe but I'm sorry about all the chaos it is causing your family. I hope everything gets back to normal soon. Stay warm and stay dry!!!

She's very fine. She was busy entertaining us for several days. Sorry to have stolen her all for myself - twas never my intent. :-)
