Yeah, those are her three I've read. I think I'd rank them: Poisonwood Bible, Bean Tree, Prodigal Summer.

I love the "Bean Tree" series. I'm glad you're reading it. I still like Progigal Summer best, of course, but Turtle is wonderful

I don't think I've read Prodigal Summer? I can't remember. The Bean Tree is fantastic. That's what introduced me to Kingsolver. I read it for my English class in 12th grade. It's been awhile, but I fell in love with the book. I still like Poisonwood Bible better.

I wonder if you would have liked the Poisonwood Bible better if you were already familiar with Kingsolver? I read it knowing that I loved Bean Trees, sometimes that can sway a reader.

I love the Bean Trees and Pigs in Heaven...but the Poisonwood Bible is still my favorite. Partially because I like the moral/social issues that it addresses. I think Kingsolver is a very talented author, and her command of language is beautiful, so in a technical literary sense all of her books are 'good.' I think whether or not you really "love" one of them depends on the subject matter, and how you relate to it.

And read Harry Potter if you haven't yet! Immediately!

Oh. Yes, I am still alive. No, I have not eloped. Truth be told, I have been spending most of my time at work. The majority of the rest of it is in Dayton, so it's been a little tricky to find a time when I'm alone to give you a call. Because I'm assuming you would want information I wouldn't want to give in the company of a certain someone :)
