Well. This was hard work. Rogue sighed; most of the people she'd spoken to had been more than willing to talk to her, but these two kids? Nothing much at all. She wasn't one to keep trying and trying if they really didn't want to say anything, either to each other or to her, but it was worth one more try, probably.

"Don't talk much, do ya?" She offered to the blond, chuckling; "No need to be so anti-social. It's a nice place, here." The words would have seemed fairly unhelpful in a sense, but her tone was casual and warm. If the blond didn't answer again, and the other didn't so much as acknowledge, then she'd cut her losses and give up. There were other, more responsive people in town to talk to, after all.

Roxas seemed to ignore her for a while more. Maybe seeing if she would go away, but there was the barest hint of a smile at the corner of his mouth. Like he was going to share a private joke with her. Roxas turned his head to look at her, "...asocial. Antisocial means I actively dislike you." And that was it, stated in a quiet sort of voice which would usually mean that he wasn't paying attention to you.

His hands slipped into his pockets, and he rocked back on his heels. Not a nervous habit so much as occupying space. There was something neutral about Roxas, like he tried not to interact with the world.

Though appearing to be completely ignoring the situation, staying in the same position he had been for the entire time he had been standing there, Kaumi was paying some attention to the slight conversation that the woman had managed to get out of the blond boy. After hearing it he let out a slightly audible 'Hn', as if contemplating what had just been said.

He himself could very well be classified as antisocial, since he seemed to have an immediate dislike to anyone new who he happened upon. Though usually didn't stay around people long enough to be able to develop any emotions toward them. But that would be changing soon enough, signing on to a ship and all.

Rogue laughed at this; it wasn't a particularly loud laugh, but it was a surprising contrast to the seeming atmosphere that was echoing about the place. Just because this boy, or perhaps both boys, were 'asocial'. Well, Rogue was of the opinion that such wasn't healthy, but she supposed that was their personal choice. However, while she was here, she would see if she could inspire some conversation before deciding to head off.

"That's nice," She said to the blond, grinning brightly, "I bet you say that to all the girls."

Then, she turned to the other. "So, what about you? You 'asocial' too, or do you just not like exercising the vocal cords?" Her tone was still entirely friendly; it was merely a casual question, thrown out fairly gung-ho. She was still grinning, as if the whole thing was a great joke.

Huh, she laughed. Roxas saw the amusement factor, that was for sure, but he hadn't expected her to laugh. Maybe it was because the entire atmosphere felt stifling, or because the dark haired guy was so quiet himself. Either way, the noise somehow surprised him. It was a nice laugh though, hardly obnoxious like some. That brought another hole to his memory, one Roxas ignored easily enough. If he couldn't remember, it obviously wasn't important.

"...Just the nice ones," he replied with another of his small secretive smiles that vanished pretty quickly. He wouldn't want to give the impression that he was friendly or anything. Roxas didn't do 'friendly'.
