Characters: Yazoo, Remy, and Vash Content: Sitting in amusement while drinking casually Setting: Queen’s Wineskin Time: Sunday Evening Warning: None at the moment.
Yazoo took a sip from his drink as he listened to both men introduce himself. The man in red had mentioned being a gunner for the Captain, which meant he was of Oriana's ship. The other though gave Yazoo the feeling he wasn't of their crew.
"So you would be Vash then, if I'm correct? Captain Oriana did mention to me about a few of the new crew members. Since you mentioned you were a gunner, it added up," he spoke as he looked at the man. Turning his head to face Remy, he spoke again.
"A pleasure to meet you as well Mr. Lebeau. I take it you're from one of the other ships since I do not quite place you on our's."
Oh, see, now Remy had to grin. The smile pulled into a full blown grin as Yazoo made the correct assumption that Remy was not a member of Oriana's crew. Except, all of Remy's smiles were a bit crooked. Sometimes people couldn't quite figure out what was lopsided about his grins, and others assumed it was because he was looking down. It wasn't that, really, but life had become far more of a playground and less of a business as of late, but there was always that ironic pull back to seriousness.
"...Mm, da Hajimaru. Big ugly ship," Remy waved his hand a bit, to express the size and relative 'ugly' of the ship. Not a looker, that was for sure. Of course, Kai Wokou didn't seem like the kind of guy to be interested in how pretty or graceful his ship looked. And that was evidenced in the Hajimaru.
He regarded Yazoo with a wider smile, something close to excitement in his tone, "It'll be good to work alongside you, sir! Consider me at your beck and call." If he hadn't been dealing with pirates here, Vash might've even saluted.
Turning his attention to the other man now, Vash made a sympathetic sound at Remy's description of the ship. "Well, it doesn't matter as long as it's seaworthy, right?" It still sounded like a shame, though. Maybe Vash had been lucky that the ship he signed onto was as pretty as her captain. Well, almost as pretty.
"Saaay... you're a southerner, aren't you?," he inquired of Remy curiously. "I think I've heard accents like that before." Vash was fairly certain he had, actually, he just couldn't remember exactly where. He had done more than enough traveling in his time to be decent at recognizing them, at least, he was with the American ones.
"That is good to know, Vash. I shall be sure to keep that in mind in case such an event may arise where I should need you." Yazoo smiled back, though his was more along the lines of politeness, but even then it looked just as real as any other, even if it was simply a fake.
"Ah, yes, the Hajimaru. I remember seeing it along with the Cheap Prayer when leaving the Artemis. Even if it is not a good looking ship, it is easily seen that the ship is built for power more so then looks. Not as stealthy as the Artemis, but I'm quite sure yours would hold up in a canon fight if anything."
He had to second Vash's assumption on Remy. The accent sounded near french, but he had remain quite instead of making any assumptions out load. French was just one of the more familiar ones he could recongnize due to his Russian background.
Despite the friendly smile Yazoo gave Vash, Remy couldn't help but be a little suspicious of the silver haired man. Perhaps he was a cynic, or his own dealings with friendly smiles, but the Cajun was sure there was a bit of a wall between the two. 'Course, he could only speak from experience, perhaps Yazoo was a charming individual and should not be doubted.
"Mais, da vieux dat runs 'er sure thinks dat she'll hold 'er own," was his response to Yazoo. His acknowledgment to Vash's statement was evident in his words, as Remy let the natural roll and drawl fall back into his words. "...ah'm a bi' Southern." Was added, in case the blonde was a little dense. Of course, Southern was a bit of a broad term, and more specifically Remy would be Cajun, but he never gave more information than he got.
