Mexico City was really actually pretty cold and insanely poverty ridden.. In a way it was kind of sad, but at the same time it was neat because I've never actually seen a place like that. And did I mention that it is HUGE? No, I didn't. Like 25 million people huge (so says my brother). In the plane going over the city, you might look out the window ( Read more... )

i went to mexico in january... did you notice the excessive number of stray dogs? and yes, the traffic is extremely scary.. there are rules, but no one actually follows them and the "cops" can very easily be bribed. good times.

I didn't really get around Mexico City a lot, I wasn't there for a long time (15 hours?), probably not enough to see stray dogs but the police were very different there indeed. But I did see a few here in Puerto Vallarta. Mexico probably lacks the animal control that we have in Canada, I'm not saying this for sure because I don't actually know I am just guessing...

I bought a postard? and almost bought a candy skull but I didn't because I am dumb like that. I actually went out searching for day of the dead stuff earlier and my results were lacking. It's a Diego Rivera painting on the postcard but it's totally dotd related, so I suppose I am okay with that. There are decorations for it everywhere though and a big celebration down near the beach..
