I think anywhere you go, there will be a lot of idiots. I think moreso in the humanities than in the sciences, because the sciences tend to be less forgiving, but even so, I've encountered a few idiots there too. ^^;

I guess so, but come on! This one guy in my class on Spenser (and I don't see why you'd take such a course if totally ignorant in matters of British Lit, since like 99% of people haven't even heard of Spenser) created a 'discussion' question regarding Spenser's letter to Sir Walter Raleigh, and it was "Is this 'Raleigh' a real person? If not, what does it say about Spenser's intent?" How the fuck are you in a class about SPENSER if you haven't even heard of RALEIGH ( ... )

That's almost surreal.

My friend Mike said he was in a Brit Lit class once (not a high-level one, mind , he's a genetics major) when someone asked, "What's a noun?"
