Who was your buddy this month? kirstennnnnn What books were chosen for you? The Wasp Factory by Iain Banks, Blow Fly by Patricia Cornwell, Peaches for Father Francis by Joanne Harris Did you manage to read your books? Which ones? I read The Wasp Factory and I'm almost finished with Blow Fly If you read more than one, did you enjoy them? What was your favorite? Both books I've read have been good ones. This time around I'd say they were both equally enjoyable, although for different reasons. Would you recommend your chosen book(s)? Yes, definitely! Did you read anything else this month, outside of your chosen books? Nope
Who was your buddy this month?monkiainen What books were chosen for you? In Cold Blood by Truman Capote At Risk by Patricia Cornwell A. B. C. Murders by Agatha Christie Did you manage to read your books? Which ones?I have only finished In Cold Blood, so far. If you read more than one, did you enjoy them? What was your favorite?N/A Would you recommend your chosen book(s)?yes! it was very disturbing. Capote plays your emotions like an instrument. it's disturbing because you somewhat share the experiences of each person, murdered, witnesses, and murderers. they are all rounded "characters", but the real horror is that it really happened and was so very senseless. Did you read anything else this month, outside of your chosen books? finished up Malice Domestic 2 editted by Mary Higgins Clark Cause of Death by Patricia Cornwell Mysterious Affair at Styles by Agatha Christie
murder, murder, and more murder! 😅
i also worked a little on How to Live to Be 100...or More by George Burns and started Ruth, a Portrait by Patricia Cornwell.
