WW: The Blessings [1/1] S7 SPOILERS

Jul 30, 2006 00:51

This has been on the back burner for a while because I wasn't writing the story I thought I was going to write. Much as I'd like to write a canonical smutfest for Josh and Donna... well, once I sat down to write it, that's not what ended up interesting me about the blank space between the teaser and the episode ( Read more... )

Well, you automatically win because earlier today I was talking to someone about how there needs to be more elevator fic for ED I, but really, this was fabulous. And definitely how it happened in my head from now on.

Probably the smile was a good sign, though. Maybe. Unless it was more of a smirk.

SO Josh. *happy sigh*

Ooh, I have good timing. ::g:: Seriously, though ,thanks muchly -- aside from being rusty in this fandom, I significantly altered this after about two months of struggling with it, so I was hardly confident that I'd managed to capture what I tried to. I'm relieved to hear this J/D - Leo interaction rang true for you. Thanks for the commenting!

How does this make me so happy because of the Josh/Donna and yet simultaneously break my heart because of the Josh seeing Leo for the last time scene?

Excellent, excellent fic. Some days, I miss these guys too.

::nods:: Exactly the trouble I had while writing it. Talking to jo_march about this ep, I knew I wanted to write the elevator scene, and I assumed I would then just follow them into the hotel room. And then Leo stepped into the fic, and he just broke my heart. So, yeah. I miss them. :(

Anyway, thanks so much for commenting -- so glad it worked for you.

it's just the best sunday breakfast reading ever.. a j/d fic from macha, and it's got Leo in it! And it' so lodged in my head as canon that even as I read it I was thinking "oh god, that's probably the last time they saw him"..

thank you honey!!

::blush:: Aww, you're too sweet. So glad you liked it.

::nods:: Yeah, my focus shifted while writing to the Leo aspect of this -- this chance encounter in the hallway. ::sniffle:: Broke my heart, but I'm relieved to hear it worked for you. Thanks for the comments.

That was bittersweet and beautiful! I got teary at Leo's chin gesture because that all is just so him. And if I'm a sucker for bumbling Josh, I'm a sucker for Leo with his 'get 'em, kid' grins.

Wow, thank you! So glad the encounter with Leo rang true for you. I had no real intention of writing that, until I sat down and actually started writing. :)

And the tension in the elevator? Perfect.

:) Thanks -- that was the original impetus for the story -- I had the mental image of Josh being all awkward in the elevator trying really, really hard not to touch Donna... and failing. ::g::

Wow. Only you can bring the electric hotness and make me want to cry at the same time. They'll always remember Leo at just that moment, giving them this final blessing.

You're brilliant. BRILLIANT, I tell ya!

Meg! ::glomp::

Re: It's a HOME RUN!

LOL! Look at you using a Macha-specific metaphor! ::g::

Awww, thanks, peaches. You are, as ever, waaaaay too complimentary. :) I am glad the Leo-scene worked for you, as that's what I realized (while trying to write J/D smut) that I wanted to explore. Josh's dawning realization about Donna, in combination with Leo giving tacit approval. I discussed this with jo_march in Atlanta. THAT's how long this took me to write. Ridiculous!

Anyway, thanks, Meg!

Oh, I forgot -- are you still participatory in the WW fandom? If so, are there LJ communities, or should I kick it old school with, say, the JD list on yahoo?

Wow, I haven't posted WW in forever... ;)
