This has been on the back burner for a while because I wasn't writing the story I thought I was going to write. Much as I'd like to write a canonical smutfest for Josh and Donna... well, once I sat down to write it, that's not what ended up interesting me about the blank space between the teaser and the episode

Probably the smile was a good sign, though. Maybe. Unless it was more of a smirk.
SO Josh. *happy sigh*

Ooh, I have good timing. ::g:: Seriously, though ,thanks muchly -- aside from being rusty in this fandom, I significantly altered this after about two months of struggling with it, so I was hardly confident that I'd managed to capture what I tried to. I'm relieved to hear this J/D - Leo interaction rang true for you. Thanks for the commenting!

Excellent, excellent fic. Some days, I miss these guys too.

::nods:: Exactly the trouble I had while writing it. Talking to jo_march about this ep, I knew I wanted to write the elevator scene, and I assumed I would then just follow them into the hotel room. And then Leo stepped into the fic, and he just broke my heart. So, yeah. I miss them. :(
Anyway, thanks so much for commenting -- so glad it worked for you.

::blush:: Aww, you're too sweet. So glad you liked it.
it' so lodged in my head as canon that even as I read it I was thinking "oh god, that's probably the last time they saw him"
::nods:: Yeah, my focus shifted while writing to the Leo aspect of this -- this chance encounter in the hallway. ::sniffle:: Broke my heart, but I'm relieved to hear it worked for you. Thanks for the comments.

Wow, thank you! So glad the encounter with Leo rang true for you. I had no real intention of writing that, until I sat down and actually started writing. :)
And the tension in the elevator? Perfect.
:) Thanks -- that was the original impetus for the story -- I had the mental image of Josh being all awkward in the elevator trying really, really hard not to touch Donna... and failing. ::g::

Re: It's a HOME RUN!
LOL! Look at you using a Macha-specific metaphor! ::g::
Only you can bring the electric hotness and make me want to cry at the same time. They'll always remember Leo at just that moment, giving them this final blessing.
Awww, thanks, peaches. You are, as ever, waaaaay too complimentary. :) I am glad the Leo-scene worked for you, as that's what I realized (while trying to write J/D smut) that I wanted to explore. Josh's dawning realization about Donna, in combination with Leo giving tacit approval. I discussed this with jo_march in Atlanta. THAT's how long this took me to write. Ridiculous!
Anyway, thanks, Meg!
