Been meaning to post about a day last week, but hadn't taken the chance to, but something that occurred today has brought it full circle, kind of put the ending on the story if you will, so I've decided to sit down now and write

I think the difference is are you doing it just to boost or your image, or did you do it because of some other reason. How people perceive that is up to them. Maybe you're just telling the story because the topic came up somehow, and maybe you're excited about it because it made you feel all like a bad ass to solve a problem like that. On the other side maybe someone thought you shifted the conversation so it would come up, or you're too excited about it. It's kind of a perspective thing. I also think how people perceive things says a lot about them, though, so someone who would misinterpret genuine happiness at having done a nice thing may just be unable to understand why you would do something like that and so couldn't recognize it the same way.

I could go on, but do we really want a giant essay on this? Hehe.

I don't think there's anything wrong with talking about it. The deed was still good and the method for presenting the story is far more important than the fact that the story was relayed.
