"You couldn't figure it out, Charles?"

Pleased as Erik was for the moment, seated on the floor besides the other man's head, he couldn't actually recall the reason why his ability to speak English had taken a turn for the worse. Charles had distracted him plenty enough, what with the dresser in it's current state of dismay and the bed... well Erik was grateful they at least had a larger one for the time being.

In retrospect, blowing up at the datapad had actually been a good idea for him. Not necessarily as far as accomplishing anything with the news the little object carried, but when it came to Charles, the built up frustration and anger had actually been a good thing. If the satisfied smirk on his lover's face was anything to go off on.

"Polish for the record, not Greek. I lived in Greece for two months and decided I couldn't stand the country."

"I was a little distracted by the sound of screaming metal at the time," Charles said in a very calm tone for a man who had witnessed the thorough destruction of quite a few bits of furniture as Erik had paced and cursed.

They were going to need to replace them when they returned from this support operation. Lifting an arm that felt deliciously leaden, Charles let it flop over towards Erik until he could gently squeeze the back of the man's neck with his fingers.

"I always wanted to visit Greece, for the food and the architecture," he said thoughtfully.

While Erik's anger had been impressive and disquieting to say the least, Charles did have to admit that he rather appreciated how they had worked on that anger. He might be exhausted and ache in places he did not normally ache but dear God the sex had been magnificent.

"But we are avoiding the point. How are you feeling about Captain Saffron's revelation?"

"The food was tolerable, it was the weather that eventually drove me out," he remarked, leaning into the touch and welcoming it. It wasn't like Charles couldn't keep his hands off of Erik from the moment he dismantled the table in frustration, but little touches like these, reassuring as they were, maintained Erik's sanity and ability to focus on the situation at hand.

"I suppose the question is, how am I not?"

It was one mission, and he could tolerate it, but sending in someone he barely knew (despite Saffron's own support of the woman), couldn't assess her skills and she was supposed to target Revan? "You know, I half thought I could could take his ship down from where I am right now."

After the satellite, the submarine, and of course the missiles from the Russians and Americans, it wouldn't be too far off, especially not with the amount of training he and Charles had been doing.

Dismantling the living room had only been mere practice.

"I thought you liked warm weather?" Charles said thoughtfully, his fingers moving softly along Erik's neck and across his shoulder.

"It was ... " here he paused, drawing out just what word he wanted to use, the polite word anyway. "Difficult, learning that we would not be allowed to accompany the primary strike force."

Charles tone was calm, still a bit throaty but all the words were proper. Still Erik, of all people, could no doubt hear the edge to the telepath's voice. Though Charles was struggling to maintain his own objectivity in the situation he was obviously frustrated.
