Altaïr was in his room- a rare state, these days. He had been busy in the city, speaking to others who might have been able to help them in their pursuits towards recreating the Brotherhood. And with the riots, there had been much to do. Much he had done. For some time when they had broken out, he had considered using them as cover for their first action. But he had decided against this, as they were still unprepared. To act without thought would have only brought them further despair, further destruction ( ... )

"Have you eaten?" It was fairly easy for Malik slip into his more nagging mode, 'motherhen' as Kadar had always called it, making him scoff in return. It was obvious Altair had been working hard these past few days, and when Altair worked hard he had a tendency to forget all the things around him. Malik sighed, pushing the concern out of his mind and stepping inside, door closing behind him. He didn't know how to start.

"There is something we should speak of." He says, turning back to Altair. There's no accusation in his eyes, no edge to his voice, just a nervous sort of tension in his shoulders. "Something we have been avoiding- Solomon's Temple."

He doesn't elaborate right away, watching Altair instead. He was ready to forgive, but perhaps Altair was not ready to ask for forgiveness. He did not wish to push the man before he was ready.

At the question, Altaïr frowned. Didn't answer right away, as he had to think about it. Had to consider the clock where it read upon his datapad ( ... )

Malik seemed to ease off his nagging with that promise, though he made a mental note of bringing the other food later should he remain in his room. Still, his full attention was needed for this conversation and his thoughts quickly went to the past, to all he thought as he walked up to Altair's door. He waits, and when Altair offers his apologies Malik waits to see if he really was ready ( ... )
