SPACE: THE FINAL FRONTIER loisfuckinglane October 15 2011, 20:29:44 UTC
[Lois stands with her arms folded in the cockpit behind Han, like the annoying hovering person that she can be, looking out at the growing shape of the planet in front of them]

What's taking them so long? [They'd hailed ground control to find their docking information about 20 minutes before, and still were waiting for finalization]

Maybe they don't like the color of our ship? [Garrus tilts his head, gazing at the ball of a planet beneath them.] Would be devastating if we clashed with all the freshly-charred earth down there.

[Han frowns. Doesn't seem likely it's got anything to do with color.] I've got a bad feeling about this. [He hails ground control again, hitting the button with unnecessary force.] You did say this ID was good, right?

[Chewie isn't the one to ask about the ID, but he rumbles back an agreement to Han's bad feeling. He doesn't know much about Sith but it shouldn't be taking this long for them to get permission to land.]

[The business deal isn't scheduled until the next morning, so of course Lois is determined to go get her own business over with first. She invites along space dino, and their pilot if he wants to come, and heads right inside the building, marching up to the desk in clacking heels, glancing around the place. It's a far cry from outside, where evidence of the planet being razed is all around them. There's been definite work done in here to make the place seem professional again.

But the Sith military outside on the streets doesn't do a lot to lessen the atmosphere of tension. Lois speaks in a low voice as they cross the expanse to the desk.] You know, I'm surprised there's a free journalistic voice on this planet at all anymore. Seems like the Sith would try to control what's being broadcast over the Net if they've got this place under lockdown.

[Space dino is behind her and ready to go :|b And he is doing his best to look menacing. Although he kinda scared one of the secretaries on their way in, which he feels marginally bad for.

The outside of the planet is a mess. It makes him angry, but he knows better than to stir anything up with the sith while they're here. At least, deliberately. He was here to watch Lois's back, and that was that.

So while she talks with the receptionist, he's casing out the foyer, checking for threats and possible quick exits.]

[Meanwhile Lois is less 'talking' with the receptionist and more 'arguing']

I did make an appointment. It's not my fault if whoever took my call wasn't smart enough to put it in that little database of yours. [She picks up her datapad and sweeps past the desk while the secretary yells at her to stop. A glance over her shoulder at Garrus and a quick tense gesture with her head for him to follow make it clear she's making this shit up as she goes]

[She reminded him so much of Shepard sometimes it was a bit scary.

Less guns and more ... notepads, in her case, though. Which he supposed was why she had brought him. He sweeps after her, giving the receptionist a flat look as he strides past, shutting her up for just a second.

He reaches Lois's shoulder, walking quickly.] Maybe I should have brought grenades.
