Characters: Open Location: Mahc Chamel Children's Center Planet: Coruscant When: Week 24, shortly after the distress signal What: The Revanites respond to a distress call sent by Republic forces Rating: TBA
[Simon got to the hospital as soon as he could. Even though it was nothing like his hospitals at home, there was still something reassuring about being in a place where he had a purpose. But as he walked the halls, he didn't see or hear any kind of danger like the distress signal indicated.
It made him wonder if Tron was right about the possibility of it being some kind of trap.]
[It's totally ironic, okay. It's ~destiny~. Simon looks over with some caution, but quickly decides that Mohinder is probably just as in the dark about this stuff as he is.]
It's not just you. Something about this doesn't sit right. It's too quiet.
[There's a children's center in danger. Of course the Doctor is going to be there. He doesn't even bother to post to the network looking for aid first, nor to call back Rose from where she'd gotten to...he just goes on his own.
...And there's nothing wrong.
Which means it's a trap or a diversion. He doesn't hesitate to withdraw his brand new sonic screwdriver to look for anomalous readings. Or a sign of where that transmission came from.]
[Jacen and Tenel Ka hadn't hesitated upon hearing the distress call. Jacen couldn't help the niggling bad feeling, however. He'd thrown his resources into trying to trace what was going on with the Crimson Terror, and still ... nothing that would have led him to identifying any members, or where they might strike next.
This seemed to come out of nowhere.
But there were children's lives on the line, so thinking about it too hard would have to be postponed, for the moment. This was definitely a time for action. As they rounded a corner, they ran into the Doctor.]
[While he'd managed to track down HollowNet's broadcasting center, he hadn't yet had the chance to get there and trace back the call. He'd hoped the Terror would wait long enough to be hunted down first. Maybe they'd taken him seriously. Well, seriously enough to act quickly.
He's just about to move on when a familiar face turns the corner.]
Nothing. Which means it's a trap waiting for more people or a diversion that's not finished yet.
