I doubt he'd mind giving us some money, if it keeps me out of trouble for a day. [She smiles a little, but shifts awkwardly. She's always been spoiled, but she's not used to coming from money.]

[Draco's been sent out for the day so the room is perfectly safe for them to talk in, although Claire hasn't fully discounted the fact that Nathan has bugged her room to make sure she's not doing or saying anything that will embarrass him or the family.

But at least her room is nice, with a big bed and nice furniture and all of her old things already strewn about.]

It's almost too good to be true. Being here, I mean. I'm already worried something's going to happen and it will be taken away.

[Catty whistles appreciatively when they reach Claire's room. She's never been big on extreme and lavish things, and her time with her own father has made her detest everything about it. For herself, at least. For Claire, though, it's pretty nice.

So she flops back on the bed with a smile.]

Unless your dad suddenly gets ejected from space... or the Senate, I guess, or you move out, I don't think it will be.

I think I win the trouble award between the two of us. You've hardly gotten into any since we've been here.

[She flops down to sit on her bed, and pulls her legs up to sit indian style. She watches Catty closely, in order to keep from lamenting over the fact that Peter already left once, and he easily could again.]

People leave all the time. I'll end up back at the apartments with you eventually.

[Catty grins as she props herself up on her elbows.] I'm just quiet about my trouble. I've broken into a space police station and stolen evidence, fought some giant insectoid things, chased down Dark Jedi [her grins lessens somewhat as she finishes up her checklist] and spent my entire last week charming Regulators into following me. I'm trouble.

Then why not just stay there with me in the first place?
