I know that no one really understands the human body all that well in terms of nitty-gritty detail. But I still want an answer to one pretty big question that came up during my (long overdue, admittedly) eye exam this afternoon:

You're still awfully young for it to be age-related presbyopia. Or are you saying the eye is less farsighted than it was? In other words, I got nothin'. (Well, except for an appropriate icon, LOL!)

Well, farsighted is when you can see nearby objects better than you can objects that are far away. It gets really complicated, I know, because I seem to essentially have two different problems; one causing nearsightedness (which meant I needed reading glasses when I was twelve years old) and one causing farsightedness (which meant bifocals when I was about eighteen). This time around, my reading lenses went up from a +2 magnification to +2.25, whereas the lenses for my distance vision ... well, left lens remains steady at +1.25 and right eye went down from +1.25 to +0.75. So no, not age-related anything; just spontaneous improvement in the myopia in my right eye, no change to the myopia in my left eye, and a worsening of the hyperopia in both.

Yes weekend haz.

Wow... Im glad im pretty alright with my vision. Bit shortsighted but alright....

I do however need new glasses though.
